There is much more to an eye exam than being able to read 20/20. An eye exam can detect glaucoma, macular degeneration, cataracts, diabetic retinopathy and high blood pressure changes to the blood vessels.

Dry eye is very common as we age. Problems with dry eye include blurry vision, tearing, burning, and/or discharge. Many people describe a “sandy or gritty” feeling in their eyes. Some dry eye can be very uncomfortable, and even painful, like a pin sticking in the eye. Dr. Karpo also treats eye infections.

From routine exams, to scratched eye, to corneal abrasions, Dr. Karpo can help you achieve your best vision.

We recommend that all children have a routine eye exam before starting kindergarten. Vision is such an integral part of learning, therefore, it is vital to make sure the child is using their eyes together and that they can see the best they can without straining. Thus preventing turned and lazy eyes that lead to later problems in life.

The lenses are warranteed for two years against scratches. Other popular lenses are Progressives (no-line bifocals), Hi-Index (super thin lenses), Polycarbonate (thin and shatter-resistant, great for kids!), Photochromic Transitions®, Tinted, Scratch Resistant Coated, and Polarized for sun glasses.

CONTACT LENS PRODUCTS

Dr. Karpo offers the newest and highest quality brands of contact lenses. We offer single vision, mono vision (bifocal), hard and soft, dailies, biweeklies, and monthly contacts. Dr. Karpo is especially good at finding the perfect lens for each patient whether they are for distance, or a patient with Keratoconus, or other eye diseases that require special attention. Contact lenses for new contact lens wearing patients are accommodating and comfortable. We have every major brand of contacts with competitive prices.

SAFETY GLASSES are recommended and even required for some heavy-duty construction and engineering jobs. We offer a selection of safety glasses and can order safety frames to fit your on-the-job requirements.
